6 Robbers arrested by Police 

Officers of the Enugu state command have arrested six infamous robbers known for terrifying the populaces of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of the state.

Six infamous robbers known for terrorizing the populaces of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State have been arrested by the State Police Command. 


Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, The spokesman for the command publicized to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that locally made guns and two short axes had been mended from the robbers.

Mr. Amaraizu said that among other items recovered were TV sets, DVDs, standing fans, six mobile phones, all of which are supposed to have been stolen from victims.

He added that the gang was picked up by the police succeeding a tip from some members of the public.

“The police operatives in Adani Division on Saturday, September, 10 nabbed six infamous armed robbers. 

“They have been terrifying the populaces of Opanda, Nimbo and Adani communities in Uzo-Uwani LGA of the state and its environs. “Suspects, name suspended, are helping the police in their investigations in relations to their alleged reprehensible activities. “Their deeds range from armed robbery and burglary among others,’’
he said.

 In the mean time, Mr. Amaraizu publicized that the command has now started a manhunt for the residual members of the gang.

The State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Emmanuel Ojukwu, much-admired the effort of his command as well as the collaboration between the police and members of the community.
