Bag snatcher stripped naked, and beaten in Abuja
A young man was beaten almost to death by groups of motorcyclists (OKADA DRIVER) for snatching a woman's handbag.
A young man named Daniel had a taste of Jungle Justice after snatching a Lady’s Hand Bag.
The incident took place at SDP junction in the morning on Thursday, September 22.According to an eyewitness, the man identified only as Daniel, trailed the unidentified victim who had a baby strapped to her back on a motorcycle after leaving the bank.
Immediately she got off the bike, Daniel snatched the handbag and took to his heels. Unknowingly to him, a group of OKADA riders were watching him snatched the bag, they chased him down and caught him, tearing off his clothes and gave him the beating of his life.
“Some motorcyclists went after him, caught him and started beating him. They removed his clothes and left him on the ground," the eyewitness said.
Daniel was reportedly beaten severely and left for dead before some officials of the civil defence corps and officials of the National Union of Road Transport Employees, NURTE, picked him up.
